Hi! We are Mijail and Amber Urruchi, and together we want to serve the people of Peru! Our ministry began many years ago before we were even married. Mijail worked as a translator for short term mission teams that came here to Peru. Amber came to Peru 12 years ago as a short-term missionary serving in Lima, as well as small mountain and jungle villages. When we married, we knew that we wanted to serve the Lord in missions together!

Over the years, we have dedicated time to training pastors in remote Peruvian villages, doing house to house Bible studies with families, teaching children God’s Word, and helping families during the pandemic who were left with little or no food.

Now we are joining with Amber’s brother, Keith Smith, to work in the impoverished community of Jicamarca. Each week, we visit houses to do in-home Bible studies. Also, we have children’s programs on Saturdays where children can learn more about who God is! Every week, we hold women’s Bible studies, where we learn from God’s Word, fellowship together and hold different workshops such as baking, jewelry-making, crafts, and much more. We want to continue serving these people as a family and follow how the Lord leads us to minister in the area.

Aside from working in Lima, we are able to share Christ and minister out deep in the Amazon jungle, working with several different tribes, teaching and training believers in those villages. In the Amazon, we’ve also joined together with a network of pastors, holding pastor’s conferences, encouraging these leaders to continue the work of reaching their villages they serve in. The goal is to work together and assist these pastors in serving God, as they often feel alone and separated from other believers/pastors. God is working among that group and in their churches!
